Delete Your Data

SortedPDF is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not store your personal data on our servers. All profile information, saved documents, and receipt data are stored exclusively on your device using AES-256 encryption.

What data does SortedPDF store?

All of the following is stored locally on your device only:

  • Profile data — your personal details used for form filling (name, address, contact info, etc.)
  • PDF documents — forms you have imported and filled
  • Receipt data — scanned receipts and extracted expense information
  • App preferences — theme, onboarding status, and subscription tier

Because this data lives on your device and not on our servers, you have full control over it at all times.

How to delete your data

Option 1: Clear all data from within the app

  1. Open SortedPDF
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Clear Data
  4. Confirm the deletion

This permanently deletes all profile data, saved PDFs, and receipt data from your device. This action cannot be undone.

Option 2: Uninstall the app

Uninstalling SortedPDF from your device will remove the app and all associated data. No data remains on our servers because none was ever sent there.

What about data sent for AI processing?

When you use AI field detection or receipt scanning, a rendered image of your document page is sent to our backend for processing via the Google Gemini API. This data is:

  • Not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the API request
  • Not used to train AI models
  • Not linked to any account or personal identifier (SortedPDF has no user accounts)

Do I need to request data deletion?

No. Because we do not hold any personal data on our servers, there is no server-side data to delete. You can delete everything directly from your device using the steps above.

Cancel your subscription

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To cancel:

  • iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > SortedPDF > Cancel
  • Android: Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > SortedPDF > Cancel

Cancelling your subscription does not delete your data. To remove your data, follow the deletion steps above.
